Termoli & Co
Termoli is a lovely town on the Adriatic sea. The golden beaches of fine sand, the shallow waters and its strategic location close to the Tremiti islands, make it an important tourist destination, especially in the summer. From Termoli, in one hour's drive, you can reach the mountains of upper Molise, the famous peninsula of Gargano in Puglia and the nearby coast of Trabocchi in Abruzzo.

The Trabucco
It is an ancient wooden stilt house that is used for fishing with nests. It's one of the symbols of the town of Termoli, maybe the most photographed ever. It stands out close to the old town along the promenade at the foot of the Swabian Castle.
The Swabian Castle
It is so called in memory of the renovation that the stupor mundi Frederick II of Swabia carried out around 1247, it is the monument that makes the skyline of the old town of Termoli unique. It had a defensive function and it stands on an ancient castle of Norman origin.
The Cathedral
The Cathedral of Santa Maria della Purificazione is one of the most important monuments of Molise. It is situated in the old town and it is the cathedral of Termoli. It is built in Romanic style, it stands on the remians of the pagan temple dedicated to Dioscuri, Castor and Pollux.
Food and wine
In Termoli, food and wine is based on a seafood cuisine. In the town centre and in the old town, typical restaurants will delight you with traditional delicacies and, for an original dinner, we recommend you to try the fish sandwiches. For aperitifs and nightlife, you must stop at the beaches and at the marina.
The beaches of Termoli
Termoli boasts two large and equipped beaches with fine sands and shallow waters: the beach of Sant'Antonio to the north and the beach of Rio Vivo to the south. There are a lot of bathing beaches with restaurants and free access areas and rescue tower.
Tremiti Islands
It is the only archipelago in the Adriatic sea, it is certainly recommended for a daily trip to discover an uncontaminated landscape rich in history. Ondamare offers a service in agreement to reach the islands and to make daily trips.
The marina
It is a suggestive and fascinating location, it charmes for the presence of the sailboats and for the opportunity to admire the enchanted skyline of the old town. It's a must for an aperitif with friends, a fish dinner or a relaxing walk on the pedestrian area.
Summer festivals
In Termoli in summer there are a lot of folkoristic, cultural and culinar events. There are numerous events from June to September, you can't miss the San Basso festival at the beginning of August, the “fire of the castle” on the 15th of August and the popular fish festival at the end of August.

Large beaches caressed by the wind and green areas are a paradise for sports lovers. You can practise windsurf, sup, jogging and cycling on the seafront and in the park of Termoli.
